I come to your yard or a hired arena and teach the way you actually want to ride — clearly, calmly, and with a real plan. All levels. All ages. Monday to Sunday.

Every rider is different. Some want a polished course-walk before a county show, some just want to feel safe in canter again. My job is to listen, watch you ride for five minutes, and then give you the one or two cues that change everything that session.
I keep things honest, structured and quietly intense. You'll leave with something specific to practise — not a list of things you couldn't do.
I cover four counties across the East Midlands and travel further for regular clients.
Sharpen one thing — a transition, a stride pattern, a position fix. Perfect between shows or for ponies.
The sweet spot. Warm-up, a focused exercise, and time to feel the change before we finish.
Full work-through: flatwork into a jumping exercise or a course. Best for competition prep and bigger goals.
Calm, patient starts. We build confidence before anything else.
Rebuild feel and trust at your pace. No judgement, just progress.
Test prep, badges, and the building blocks that stay with you for life.
Course-craft, related distances, and a plan for the season ahead.
Quiet, structured sessions to turn nerves into focus.
Better flatwork is better jumping. We work both, every lesson.
No guesswork, no "just turn up". You'll always know where you are and what's next.
First session — I watch you ride, listen to your goals, and find the one or two things that will unlock the most.
We agree on a clear focus: what you're building, by when, and what 'better' looks like for you and your horse.
Block of regular sessions. Repeatable exercises, honest feedback, real progress between lessons.
Polish the detail — striding, position under pressure, course-walks, warm-up routines.
Whether the goal is the show ring or a happier hack, you finish knowing exactly what to do and why.
Mornings, afternoons, evenings. Subject to availability and travel — but I'll always try to make it work.
Public liability cover for every session, everywhere I teach.
Valid enhanced DBS certification — safety and safeguarding first.
Active competition experience brought into every lesson.
4 counties as standard. Regular clients further afield welcome.
Anything not here? Drop a message and I'll come back to you personally.
Yes — lessons take place at your yard or a hired arena, with your own (or your loan) horse or pony.
Anywhere across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Staffordshire. Sometimes a little further for regular clients — just ask.
Absolutely. Sharing a session with a friend or yard mate is welcome and often great fun. Get in touch and we'll plan it.
Riding hat to current standard, body protector if you'd like one, suitable boots and gloves. Bring water and a clear goal for the session.
Drop a message via the contact form on the home page or by phone. I'll come back to you with availability the same week wherever possible.
Tell me where you're based, what you ride, and what you'd like to work on. I'll come back with availability — usually the same day.
